The Curious Case of Multi-Racial Nazis
On February 22 CNN’s Ryan Young reported that “in a private meeting with fellow cast members of the Fox show Empire Smollett apologized for the distraction he had caused his fellow castmates before maintaining his innocence.” A fascinating declaration considering the fact that in an earlier interview on Good Morning America Jussie said, of the two individuals caught on surveillance cameras who he alleges were his attackers, “I don’t have any doubt in my mind that that’s them.” When we later learned that the “them” he referenced were these two:
The plot grew uncommonly thick.
But before you dismiss the story as a hoax, let’s entertain the possibility that in a universe full of highly improbable events, this event — though improbable — is possible.
If Mr. Smollett accurately described the events of January 29th, it means that the two Nigerians pictured above committed the hate crime CBS News described below:
Jan. 29: Chicago police open a hate crime investigation after Smollett, 36, says he was attacked near his Chicago apartment. According to police, Smollett says two men approached him around 2 a.m., shouted “racial and homophobic slurs,” poured an “unknown chemical substance” on him and wrapped a noose around his neck. Police confirm to CBS News that in second interview with police, Smollett told detectives his attackers yelled “This is MAGA country.”
Assuming that depiction of the events is correct, we must conclude that Mr. Smollett’s Nigerian trainers are huge Trump fans who also hate blacks and homosexuals AND who presumably grew so sick of being employed by a black, anti-Trump homosexual that they broke his rib, bleached him and then decorated his neck with a noose. Although admittedly I do not know what their motive might have been, in the previously referenced GMA interview, Jussie speculated that the reason for the attack was due to the fact that “I come really, really hard against 45. I come really hard against his administration. I don’t hold my tongue.” In other words, if the story reported by the Empire star is accurate, in the photo above we’ve identified a pair of homophobic, possibly Republican and definitely black, white nationalists.
In other words, we have a very curious case of black Nazis on our hands. That doesn’t happen everyday… or does it?
I ended that last sentence with a question mark because my curiosity surrounding the subject didn’t begin with the Smollett fiasco, it began with a story I came across last year in the LA Times regarding a dust up at a bar in Atwater, a neighborhood near Dodger Stadium that I used to frequent when I was younger. Many media outlets reported that on Saturday, July 14 members of the Proud Boys (a fraternal organization fond of MAGA hats and black Fred Perry polos that the Southern Poverty Law Center calls a hate group) decided to congregate at The Griffin, a watering hole on Los Feliz Blvd in Los Angeles. From the local news reports I watched, it appeared that a group of about 20 white supremacists decided to party in Atwater and got into a fight when members of the Democratic Socialist of America showed up to lobby management to throw them out.
Given that I spent the first 22 years of my life running around Atwater, I found it odd that a neighborhood full of Hispanics, Asians, homosexuals and hipsters was now also frequented by large groups of white supremacists. I initially suspected that someone got the story wrong, but I didn’t bother to look any deeper… until the Smollett attack. When I heard that Chicago had become “MAGA Country!” I remembered the Atwater incident and decided to take Jussie at his word so that I would have the appropriate paradigm with which to investigate an America that might possibly be witnessing the rise of the world’s first instance of ubiquitous multi-racial, white supremacy
Immediately I dove back into the The Griffin story; this time I was not surprised to learn that the Proud Boys L.A. Chapter boasts of a president who is both gay and Jewish as well as a vice president who is Chinese/Hawaiian, which means that either the Proud Boys are white supremacists who don’t know how to elect leaders OR minorities in the Southland are slowly becoming white supremacists. Evidence that the latter scenario is what’s actually playing out in Southern California was provided by Josh Androsky, one of the protesters who showed up at The Griffin and told a Times reporter that “The 1st Amendment protects the right to peaceably assemble,” but “There’s no such thing as a peaceable assembly of Nazis. Just by virtue of their ideology, they are causing harm.”
Now if you’re wondering if Mr. Androsky was unaware of the culturally diverse nature of the organization he was protesting, I can assure you that he wasn’t. A video of him arguing with Griffin management can be found on Instagram wherein the manager defended his decision to not kick out the Proud Boys because, if they’re Nazis then “Why do they have black guys and Mexican guys with them?”
That may have been a good question in another era, but given the new lens through which Jussie has taught us to view the topic of racial discrimination, I now figure that that’s exactly the type of interrogative you would expect from a Nazi sympathizer, which is probably why the owner of The Griffin felt impelled to out his own, presumably racist manager:
“Neither I nor my business partner support any Nazi or white supremacist groups and this is not a Nazi bar… We are not a bar that in any way supports hate groups and any staff that does will be dealt with.”
And there you have it friends, where Nazis are concerned, skin tone is no longer relevant. Even the fact that one of the white, Proud Boys at the brawl is married to a black woman with whom he has a child, means nothing; because the Nazi party no longer concerns itself with outdated notions of melanin-based racial discrimination (to test your understanding of that point, in the photo below try to guess which combatant is a Nazi.)

Thankfully the Smollett story had sparked my memory of The Griffin brawl which in turn sparked a memory of some reading I had done during the 2015 Baltimore riots, more specifically regarding the six police officers charged with Freddy Grey’s death (see the photo below, but hopefully in a new light.) Back in 2015 as rioters moved across that city, injuring police officers, damaging businesses, burning buildings and cars, I wondered… who’s running Baltimore?
A couple of simple Google searches revealed that it wasn’t MAGAn’s (Baltimore hadn’t had a Republican mayor since 1967,) which made sense given that 8 out of 10 registered voters in the city are Democrats. It probably wasn’t white people either. Baltimore hasn’t had a white mayor in nearly three decades and as of April of 2015, the police chief was black as were the occupants of ten out of the fifteen seats on the city council. So unless Lord Voldemort was behind the mischief in Baltimore, I concluded that there simply wasn’t the critical mass of pale-skinned power brokers needed to impose any sort of Jim Crowery upon that town. But that was before I entertained the possibility that minorities could be white supremacists too.
In light of that revelation I decided that I needed to rethink my approach to the issue of discrimination and subject all sorts of data to re-analysis. Take the Ferguson riots for example, although Eric Holder’s Justice Department exonerated the police officer who shot Michael Brown and concluded that Mr. Brown’s alleged “Hands Up! Don’t Shoot!” plea was a media fabrication, he nevertheless found that the Ferguson Police Department ,with its 47 white police officers and 3 black police officers, was guilty of institutional racism. Fair enough. That conclusion seems to follow seamlessly from the DOJ-led investigation which noted that, although blacks make up only 67% of the population they comprise 85% of all traffic stops (similar disparities existed with other crimes.) Given the color composition of the police force and our nation’s long history of racial bias, who wouldn’t conclude that a racist police force drove the skewed crime statistics? But what Mr. Holder failed to note was that an even greater discrepancy existed in New York City, where only 25% of the population is black yet blacks comprise 55% of all traffic stops (nearly double the number uncovered in Ferguson!) It seems fair then to wonder why Mr. Holder’s DOJ never came crashing down on the NYPD? Really, how has the NYPD avoided excoriation?Well, thanks to the courage of Jussie Smollett, we now know the answer:
The majority of the police officers in New York City are minorities, which led investigators back then and leads people today to conclude that they aren’t white supremacists.
The majority of the police officers in New York City are minorities, which led investigators back then and leads people today to conclude that they aren’t white supremacists.
Apparently the DOJ is still clinging to a 20th century view of what constitutes white supremacy; but I expect that will change once Mr. Smollett is exonerated, the Osundairo brothers are exposed as white nationalists and the nation wakes up from its naiveté. To our general discredit and my personal chagrin, white supremacy has so thoroughly permeated our culture that it has begun appropriating other cultures.
If that last line seems difficult to swallow I will submit two final pieces of evidence for your consideration before closing. Exhibit A: Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes, as seen below.
Although Gavin no longer associates with his fraternal order (for the record he only distanced himself from it in an effort to get reduced sentences for a few of his associates after a brawl led Governor Cuomo to call for an FBI investigation of the Proud Boys,) Gavin McInnes is still the quintessential Proud Boy. A self-proclaimed Western chauvinist who, as per what I can only assume will become the norm for American white nationalists, chose to marry a Native American: specifically Emily Jendrisak of the Ho-Chunk tribe, with whom he has three children.
Although it seems counter intuitive for a Nazi to procreate with an Indian, that’s only because we’ve become accustomed to the false narrative that white nationalist exclude other races from their dating pools. One presumes that Mr. McInnes still longs to reduce and, if possible, eliminate the Native American population, but his methodology seems to rely upon a sort of biological reverse psychology whereby he adhered to Andrew Jackson’s “Good Indian-Dead Indian” theory by making three more Indians. I know that sentence brings with it a bit of cognitive dissonance, but you must bear in mind that Mr. McInnes is not your grandfather’s Nazi.

As for Exhibit B: Ryan Katsu Rivera, Mr. McInnes’ podcast sound engineer/co-host.
If you can’t already tell from his name or facial characteristics, Mr. Katsu Rivera is a half Puerto Rican, half Japanese, full-blooded Nazi. I recognize that you aren’t accustomed to dealing with this brand of Klansman, but who but a pro-Axis-Powers guy would agree to sit next to a man with Gavin’s reputation, day after day? Mr. McInnes unapologetically founded a certified SPLC hate group and he regularly proclaims his admiration for Western culture above all others, so does Mr. Katsu Rivera. Upon those two facts I rest my case: white people are Nazis, black People are Nazis, Mexicans are Nazis, Jewish homosexuals are Nazis, Chinese/Hawaiians are Nazis — and now, so are Japanese Puerto Ricans.
Everyone is a Nazi.
Nazi. Nazi. Nazi.
Everyone is a Nazi.
Nazi. Nazi. Nazi.
